thanks a lot, :), good, first I convert the photo in gray scale (I work the tones better this way), and I work on its with the "smudge" tool, using different intensities (mainly small intensities 10-30) and sizes, also the "burn" and "dodge" tool, to intensify the lights and shades, it's as modeling in clay, hehe, I also use a lot the "Healing Brush" tool, for little retouches in degraded, for example. later you can add color layers, small details, etc, oh, and lately I use the "liquify" filter, to give an aspect more "cartoon" to the photos.
I have just learned the technique and I still have to improve, so this is what I can tell you at the moment, i hope to have helped you :peace: if you have some concrete question I will respond you with pleasure
